      Every year their is a problem with theft and/or damage to signs both on the highway and on the trails. These signs are put in place for a reason. If a person removes/steals or defaces any sign it could have serious consequences. The person who steals the sign could face criminal charges of theft or more serious charges including criminal negligence. Read More

      On December 15, 2011 Smiths Falls Police Service began the "Lock it or Lose it" campaign throughout the Town of Smiths Falls.
