Our History - Chiefs of Police
Smiths Falls Police was a one man department until 1910. During those and subsequent years their has always been a Chief of Police.
Below is a list of all those that have served as Chief of Police for Smiths Falls.
It is interesting to note that with the exception of those that have additional details on their years of service, the Officers listed below only
served with Smiths Falls Police for the years in which they were Chief.

John Lees
Served 1919 until his death in 1948. Gave up the job of Chief in 1944 and was a Constable on staff after that. |

George Foss
Served 1939 - 1941 and then again from 1944-1947. The in between years he served with the Brockville Police. |

Reginald Wride
Served 1938 - 1975. |

William Stocker
Served 1956-1990. |
