Our Organization
The Smiths Falls Police Service is operated by the Town of Smiths Falls, and provides policing for the residents of the Town as mandated under the Ontario Police Services Act.
The Smiths Falls Police Service is a fully staffed police service operating out of police headquarters located at the Municipal Complex at 77 Beckwith Street North in the heart of Smiths Falls. The Service employs 25 uniformed officers, two part-time special constables for court and escort duties and 10 (seven full-time, three part-time) civilian clerk/dispatchers. Most of our members have training in a specialty area such as forensic identification or BAC testing for impaired drivers. In addition, the Service operates our own 911 / communications center and have eight fully equipped police vehicles.
