    3.3 Sexual Assault Centers (SAC)

    The Lanark County Sexual Assault Center provides services to those who have been affected by sexual violence. Services are available to women, men, teens, children, families and partners. The services offered by the Center include:
    • 24 hour, 7 days a week toll free support line staffed by trained counselors
    • Accompaniment to the hospital or the police station
    • Face-to-face crisis counseling for recent or historic survivors of sexual violence
    • Information about sexual assault and where to go for more help
    • Referrals to out-of-county services
    • Lending library
    • Public education and speakers
    • Sexual assault support groups
